How this started

An internal CRM for a legal company: managing client work, matters and reporting, organised the way a firm actually works. Shown anonymised, under NDA.

Challenge

Legal work is relationship- and matter-heavy: the same client has many matters, each with its own deadlines, documents and correspondence. Scattered across inboxes and spreadsheets, it becomes a liability.

Approach

We built the CRM around how the firm works — organised by client and by matter, with the reporting partners need — so client work, deadlines and documents live in one place instead of being chased down across mailboxes.

Organised by client and matter

Legal work is relationship- and matter-heavy: the same client has many matters, each with its own deadlines, documents and correspondence. Scattered across inboxes and spreadsheets, it's a liability. We built an internal CRM organised the way the firm actually works — by client and by matter — so the work lives in one place.

On top sits the reporting partners need to see where things stand, without chasing each fee-earner individually.

Not a generic CRM

Shaped around legal workflow — clients, matters, deadlines, documents — rather than a sales CRM bent to fit.
