How this started

We built a complete e-commerce store for iTero — dental scanners, consumables and accessories — integrated with their internal systems so orders flow all the way through, not just a shopfront bolted on the side. It grew into a long-term relationship.

Challenge

Selling professional dental equipment isn't consumer retail: catalogs are technical, buyers are certified, and the store has to talk to the systems that actually fulfil and account for orders. A pretty storefront that doesn't integrate is a liability.

Approach

We built the storefront and the plumbing behind it — catalog, certified-buyer flow, checkout, and the integrations with the client's internal operations — so a purchase is a complete, tracked transaction end to end.

The hard decision

The greatest challenge was balancing global consistency with regional flexibility. Instead of building independent stores for each market, we designed a scalable architecture that allowed localized content, pricing, logistics and product availability to be managed within a centralized ecosystem. This significantly simplified future expansion while reducing operational complexity.

A store that's really a system

Selling professional dental equipment isn't consumer retail. Catalogs are technical, buyers are certified, and the store has to talk to the systems that actually fulfil and account for orders. A pretty storefront that doesn't integrate is a liability, not an asset.

So we built both halves: the storefront a certified buyer moves through, and the plumbing behind it — catalog, checkout, and the integrations with the client's internal operations — so a purchase is a complete, tracked transaction end to end rather than an order that gets re-keyed by hand.

From project to partnership

It started as a store and grew into a long-term relationship spanning multiple regions and consumables — the kind of engagement you only get by making the first thing work properly.
